Small technical utility
Compare two formats of the same error number.
A log may show a negative decimal number while a support reference uses hexadecimal. Check whether they represent the same 32-bit value. This does not explain the error or fix it.
For example: −2147024891 and 0x80070005 are the same 32-bit pattern. You still need the product and full message to interpret it.
No logs, messages or identifiers. Values outside 32 bits are rejected, not wrapped.

Conversion does not distinguish HRESULT, Win32, NTSTATUS or another meaning. It never suggests a fix.
Without JavaScript: −1 and 0xFFFFFFFF represent the same 32-bit pattern; −2147483648 and 0x80000000 do too. Use the official format reference, not this fact alone, to interpret a message.
Keep the converter: download the offline script
A small, readable Node.js script using the same strict conversion rules. No packages, network requests or file access. It prints a result; it does not diagnose or change a device.
Download winhoven-convert32.cjs. Review the source first. Use an existing Node.js runtime.
node winhoven-convert32.cjs signed -2147024891
The example returns hex 0x80070005, signed -2147024891 and unsigned 2147942405. Run with --help for formats. No code runs when you download it.
